SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Vice President of Acquisitions reports to the EVP, Acquisitions & Development/Chief Investment Officer and is responsible for a broad range of acquisition and disposition functions. The Vice President will play a key role in aggressively pursuing hotel investments for the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the CIO to formulate investment theses and source investment opportunities.
- Constantly network and communicate to maintain close ties with top tier brokers, owner representatives, brands, etc. to optimize deal flow.
- Build internal consensus and persuasively present opportunities to the investment commitee for approval.
- Communicate and work effectively with all executives across all corporate initiatives.
- Play a key role in communication with investors as it pertains to development initiatives.
- Prepare investment analysis for hotel acquisitions including market research prepartion of pro forma operating statements and analyze hotel operating statements.
- Oversee primary field work and market research process to prepare market assessment and investment for review for investors and executive team.
- Supervise and train junior associates in data collection, analysis and preparation of reports.
- Assist in the development of forecasts and budgets for operations and capital expenditures.
- Develop "what if" financial forecast models, competitive benchmarking and index positioning analysis.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:·
Minimum ten years extensive experience in real estate development and transactions
Knowledge of hotel industry preferred
BS in finance or related field
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Knowledge of major US and international lodging markets
Proven ability to present to investors, ownership groups, and high-level executives
Strong negotiation skills
Proven ability to work as a team player as well as the ability to work independently
